All of us experience varying degrees of motivation for engaging in healthy choices throughout any given moment in any given day. At times we are contemplative…we understand that our health may be enhanced by better behavioural choices but just don’t quite feel up to the practise.
It’s difficult to see choices when clouded by judgement & assumptions.
REPLACE “SHOULD” WITH “COULD” & BE OPEN TO A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES
There are so many things beyond our control. As simple as it may sound, one thing we do have within our control is what we do with thoughts when they arise. Practising a heightened awareness of where our head space can take us also means we can actively choose whether we allow ourselves to be taken for a ride or not. Whilst it’s not complicated, this takes effort. A lot of effort.
HEALTHY CHOICES ARE HABIT FORMING
Our actions are key to building a wealth of experiences that can positively reinforce our health & fitness goals or, if we choose to remain reactive, we can drown in destructive, demotivating patterns. Our relationship with our thoughts is worth looking after. Enhancing our awareness of moment to moment thinking takes moment to moment practise. Sometimes we’ll feel up to it…other times we’ll feel like just giving up. The challenge for all of us is to not let that giving-up feeling last longer than our resolve to create our own world of difference.
